Duration of Study in Prague

Duration of study in the Czech Republic is generally 3 years for Bachelor’s degree and 2 years for Master’s degree programs. Duration of study is 6 years for the Faculty of Medicine and 5 years for the Faculties of Pharmacy and Dentistry. Many students in the Czech Republic begin their Master’s education right after they obtain their Bachelor’s degree and receive both in 5 years.

If you don’t have sufficient language proficiency yet, you can have an additional preparatory year at your university improving your proficiency in the language of instruction.

Once you complete your education and graduate, you will have a good proficiency in English and/or Czech based on the language of instruction in the department you study and you will have a diverse range of experience thanks to the student exchange and internship programs you can participate during your education. Language Sufficiency

If you are planning to study in English for your Bachelor’s degree, you are expected to have at least a B1+ (Intermediate Plus) level of English language to proceed with your university application process. Thanks to our expert language instructors, we are pleased to help you improve your Czech and English.

As the language of instruction for many Master’s programs are in English, you are required to have a sufficient score in an internationally recognized proficiency exam. Therefore, there is a minimum grade that you need from IELTS and TOEFL exams depending on the school to which you want to apply. IELTS and TOEFL tutoring can be provided by our consultants as well, when needed.

Living Costs in Prague

The Czech Republic is a member of the European Union but it is not in EuroZone which means the currency in the country is Czech Koruna-CZK, not Euro. Not being in EuroZone makes it relatively cheaper compared to other European capitals and this is yet another reason why many students prefer studying in Prague.
